Overview
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by supporting the Center for Laboratory Sciences (CLS), by performing core administrative and financial tasks to ensure the Center maintains operational stability, strict compliance and mission alignment.
The Supervisor I, acting as the Fiscal Unit Supervisor, will oversee fiscal, budgets, and expenditure activities; assisting in planning and coordination of Center drills and assignments; overseeing the development of contracts; project tracking; providing technical assistance and training as
necessary to staff; and leadership to ensure Branch/ Program efficiencies. Provides expert advice and consultation to CLS management regarding its overall operations. Manages and evaluates the overall budget and receives funding from various funds (General, Federal and Special) in millions annually for clinical laboratory services and testing services under multiple programs within the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Responds to and completes budget and fiscal reports and drills as necessary.
