Overview

STChealth is looking for a talented UX Researcher to lead and evangelize the user experience design process using a human-centered design approach. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and intuitive design, possess superior usability skills and be able to translate user needs into the sequence of interactions a person has with our product over time.

You will conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to inform and improve our product design and user experience. Your insights will guide the development of user-centered solutions, optimize our wayfinding service, and contribute to the overall success of our healthcare SaaS products.

This is a hybrid role based out of our office in Phoenix, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Insights (70%):
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Develop strong relationships with users and stakeholders, ensuring their feedback is integrated into the product development lifecycle.
• Plan and execute lean experiments, such as A/B testing, to validate design hypotheses and optimize user interfaces.
• Analyze user data and product analytics to identify trends, uncover pain points, and propose actionable improvements.
• Provide recommendations based on research to guide design decisions and enhance user experience.
• Continuously improve product features by collaborating with design and development teams to integrate feedback.
• Conduct competitive analysis to inform product strategy and identify differentiation opportunities.
• Optimize wayfinding features within our products to improve speed to value and enhance the overall user journey.

UX Design (30%):
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions that improve product visuals, direction, and user experience.
• Create user journeys, flow diagrams, navigation structures, and information architecture based on research findings.
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and interactive models to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.
• Present designs and key product milestones to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Adhere to WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and promote UI/UX best practices across projects.

About You
• You have demonstrable UI/UX design expertise, strong portfolio, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• End-to-end knowledge of all stages of User Experience Design (Sketching, Prototyping, Iteration, Refinement and Evaluation).
• You understand the working methods of experience design, jobs-to-be-done, needs-based research to build the right products that solve the right problems.
• Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proficient in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Adobe CS, Figma, Sketch, or InVision.
• Knowledge of end-to-end UX design, including prototyping and iterative design processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and research findings clearly.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and experience defining User Stories for sprint planning.
• Passion for improving user experiences and contributing to healthcare innovation.
