Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Graduate Medical Education and Health Workforce, the Project Manager will support GNYHA member institutions on a broad range of areas, including graduate medical education (GME) institutional and program accreditation requirements. The Project Manager will also help develop programming and other resources relevant to the GME community and support other subject areas under the authority of the New York State Department of Health, the New York State Education Department, the Accreditation Council for GME and other agencies.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate changes to GME policy and develop written and programmatic resources for internal and external use.
Research national trends in clinician workforce recruitment and retention and develop programming and other tools relevant to the GNYHA membership.
Provide project management support, including obtaining and organizing information from members, tracking project progress, and creating agendas, action items, and summaries.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as public health, public policy, health care administration, or health care management. Other fields will be considered with applicable experience.
At least two years’ experience in a GME or project management role at a health care institution, regulatory agency, college, or university.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to distill multiple concepts within a single subject area into a clear, concise summary and deliver it orally and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines for a variety of projects in a busy, fast-paced, and demanding member service organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GME operations within a teaching hospital, especially knowledge of the institutional and program accreditation process.
Experience developing briefings or programs to align project objectives and communicate key outcomes to stakeholders.
Project management certifications with experience applying project management methodologies

Salary Range: $68,000 – $72,000

The salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement. When determining exact compensation, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, skills, budget, and internal equity).

Work Schedule: A hybrid model with the expectation to work physically in our office Tuesdays and Wednesdays as mandatory in-office days with a third in-office day at your discretion, in coordination with your supervisor and in accordance with the business needs of your department. This schedule may be subject to change in GNYHA’s sole discretion. This is a full-time position.
