The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Long COVID Program is hiring! The Grants & Contracts Specialist (Planner Senior) will play a crucial role in supporting our growing network of grantees and contractors, who will in turn help us to understand and address the impacts of Long COVID in communities across Minnesota.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Providing technical assistance and monitoring to Long COVID grantees and contractors, including those who may have limited experience in applying for and implementing a state-funded grant or contract.
Co-developing innovative, intersectional strategies and plans to enhance grantee/contractor performance through a lens of health equity.
Supporting the development and application of internal processes for the program’s outgoing grants and contracts.
Contributing to project management, strategic planning, and engagement activities of the Long COVID Program.
Fostering meaningful, bi-directional relationships with organizations to assure integration of health equity concepts and community voices into planning, implementation, and evaluation of program activities.
Grantees and contractors may be community-based organizations, clinics and health systems, patient advocacy groups, diverse media organizations, Local and Tribal Public Health, and others, with an emphasis on organizations that serve and represent communities disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, long COVID, and related conditions. Their activities include raising awareness about long COVID, conducting community assessments and surveys, providing wrap-around service navigation, testing clinical workflows, and more.
