Position Summary

We are seeking a Public Health Policy Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about public health, child protection, and social policy. This role involves conducting research, drafting policy briefs, developing training resources, and fostering consensus across diverse stakeholders to support ISPCAN’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Policy Development:

• Conduct in-depth research on public health and child protection issues.

• Develop evidence-based policy briefs and recommendations to inform stakeholders.

• Monitor emerging trends, international policies, and best practices in child protection.

• Training and Resource Development:

• Create training modules and materials to support policy initiatives and advocacy efforts.

• Collaborate with experts to develop toolkits and learning resources for global audiences.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Consensus Building:

• Engage with stakeholders, including policymakers, NGOs, and practitioners, to build consensus on key issues.

• Organize and facilitate virtual meetings, webinars, and discussions to promote policy alignment.

• Advocacy Support:

• Contribute to ISPCAN’s advocacy campaigns by providing research insights and policy recommendations.

• Collaborate on the creation of reports, presentations, and communications for conferences and public events.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• A degree in public health, social policy, public administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in policy research, advocacy, or a public health-related role.

• Experience developing policy briefs and training materials is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.

• Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience drafting policy briefs and reports.

• Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across sectors and cultures.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in virtual meeting tools and learning platforms.

Work Environment & Schedule

• This is a remote position with required working hours, weekly tag ups and deliverables

• Expected commitment: 20 hours per week.

Compensation

• Competitive monthly rate $3000/month for 40 hours
