Protect Washington’s Future: Join Our Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Team!
This position supports the Department of Health’s mission to protect and improve health across Washington State and advances the Office of Environmental Public Health Sciences’ commitment to science-based programs and policies that champion healthy environments for all.
As part of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP), you’ll work within the Healthy Homes & Communities section to reduce health disparities and promote health equity by supporting program efforts to:
Boost blood lead testing and reporting
Enhance surveillance to identify high-risk populations
Ensure children with elevated lead levels receive follow-up and services
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Prevention Team supervisor, you will:
Coordinate with healthcare providers, local health jurisdictions, and other partners
Respond to public inquiries and provide training and technical assistance
Manage program inventory and coordinate grant deliverables
Maintain the program’s SharePoint site and provide essential program support
