Responsibilities
The Project Aide will provide support to the Wadsworth Center’s NSA Administration office. The incumbent will assist with Wadsworth’s continued response to COVID-19 and other emerging pathogens by assisting with recruitments including but not limited to scheduling interviews, entering and tracking of purchase orders, maintaining supply inventory; routing incoming calls from the public to appropriate staff; drafting letters, notes, and/or memos as requested; maintaining filing systems; scheduling meetings and reserving conference rooms upon request; assisting with the tracking and processing of travel requests; updating Wadsworth directory information and organizational charts and other related duties as assigned.
This position will be part of a dynamic team serving the Wadsworth Center’s mission in the New York State Department of Health’s efforts to protect and promote the health of New York’s citizens. Come be a part of Science in the Pursuit of Health.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field or higher degree in a related field; OR two years of general office, secretarial, administrative experience and/or project assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with procurement. Experience updating and maintaining databases, spreadsheets. Experience with a multi-line phone system. Experience handling travel arrangements for staff. Experience coordinating meetings and working within on-line virtual meeting platforms such as Webex and Teams.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
