The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is looking for an individual to join the Project Management Office (PMO) as a Lead Planning Analyst. In this role, you will lead emergency response efforts, provide administrative and project management support, develop policies, and facilitate communication and training to ensure effective preparedness and response initiatives. Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), First Shift, Monday – Friday
Please note: A flex schedule and an opportunity to telework in accordance with State policies may be permitted following the successful completion of a working test period.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Represent the Operational and Support Services (OSS) (administrative) division in emergency response activities, including but not limited to the Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Incident Command System (ICS).
  • Establish new administrative policies and procedures to support OSS processes during emergency situations or events.
    Revise and enhance current administrative policies and procedures to introduce efficiencies.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders regarding administrative policies and procedures, as well as between project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Promote open and clear communication among all who may be impacted by projects, initiatives, and emergency events.
  • Lead cross-sectional teams of individuals through all phases of emergency response and/or projects.
  • Provide project management guidance and support to units across the agency.
  • Prepare and present artifacts, including comprehensive documentation, detailed processes, and monthly reports.
  • Promote and manage change as a result of policy, procedure, emergency response, and project implementations.
  • Manage multiple initiatives with overlapping timelines.
  • Provide training and consultative services to DPH units.
  • Perform related duties as required.
