We are currently seeking a Public Health Nutritionist to be a part of a multidisciplinary team in our local public health office and provide nutritional counseling to a wide range of individuals and community partners. Our Public Health Nutritionist delivers prenatal and postpartum support and nutrition education to families in our Women, Infants and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program and works collaboratively with other public health staff on community outreach, education and partnership to support local health promotion initiatives. Our Public Health Nutritionist also plays a critical role in helping us achieve our mission of healthy Vermonters living in healthy communities. As a team member of the Department of Health, the Public Health Nutritionist has a critical role in public health emergency preparedness and will receive training to support communities during emergencies that threaten public health.
