Overview

The Asclepius Initiative, Inc (TAI) is currently seeking a candidate for the role of Full Time project coordinator and educator. This role is funded by a grant designed to provide health care coverage literacy education to identified sub-populations (Black, Spanish speaking, or rural) within Kentucky. Applicants will also be expected to foster and maintain relationships with partner organizations, coordinate activities and reporting, and work collaboratively with TAI’s Executive Director and Communications Associate.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In concert with TAI’s staff and community-based partners refine, develop, and deliver written, oral, and video educational presentations on health care coverage topics
• Using creativity, instructional design techniques, and online resources, make TAI’s presentations and content engaging and easily understanding for a range of learners
• Prepare materials and presentations in such a way that they reflect cultural respect and understanding
• Build relationships with community-based partners and coordinate project activities with them
• Lead and coordinate community-based partner training to prepare them as presenters of health care coverage information
• Coordinate scheduling of healthcare coverage educational sessions for non-profit organizations whose staff and clientele would benefit from the educational program
• Oversee and manage grant-funded educational activities (including partner trainings and educational presentations), documentation, engagement, and reporting
• Create long- and short-term task management plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Track and manage project deliverables
• Collect and record partner and learner feedback
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Understanding of in person and online adult educational design and proven effectiveness in educational programs
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
• Superior interpersonal and organizational skills; attention to detail
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to master complex subject matter
• Proficient in MS word, PowerPoint
• Ability to adjust communications based on knowledge (health care, literacy, numeracy) and educational level of the audience
• Access to personal transportation for periodic travel in Kentucky
• Bachelor’s degree
• Self-motivated and able to self-direct

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in related field, such as Public Health, Health Education or Community Health
• Professional experience in health care coverage sales or education
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in non-profit work and grant operations
• Experience with print and web communication
This full time exempt salaried position is $65,000-70,000, depending on education and years of professional experience. Grant funding runs through 5/31/2026. However, duration of employment may be extended if future funding is available.

Job is primarily remote. However, the ability to conduct in person educational sessions in Louisville and other parts of Kentucky, as well as periodic travel to partner sites throughout Kentucky is required.
