We are now seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join our forward-thinking remote team.
This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a deep understanding of healthcare systems, analytics platforms, and regulatory frameworks. You will play a pivotal role in designing data pipelines, building insightful dashboards, and producing high-impact reports that shape decision-making across healthcare initiatives.
Your Role and Impact
As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will:
Analyze healthcare datasets from EHRs, claims, laboratory systems, and patient registries to uncover actionable insights.
Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to support strategic and clinical operations.
Collaborate across departments to define key performance indicators and data models that align with organizational objectives.
Translate data trends into compelling narratives for stakeholders in clinical, business, and technical domains.
Support data quality initiatives, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data extraction, cleansing, and transformation using SQL, Python, or R.
Design and maintain healthcare reporting systems that measure clinical outcomes, cost efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Align datasets with standards such as ICD-10, CPT, HL7, and FHIR.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support initiatives such as population health, risk stratification, and predictive analytics.
Document processes and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience working with healthcare data (clinical, claims, or public health).
Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Familiarity with healthcare systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), insurance data, and performance metrics such as HEDIS or MACRA.
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a data or healthcare-related field.
Experience working in healthcare startups, research organizations, or health-tech SaaS companies.
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
Certifications such as CHDA, SAS, or Google Data Analytics are a plus.
