Arlington Free Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Program Manager (Bilingual) to lead and grow our behavioral health services. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with a passion for equity, innovation and patient centered care.

Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity by offering free, comprehensive healthcare services including behavioral health and dental care, with the support of hundreds of volunteers, to individuals who would otherwise lack access. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage day-to-day operations, coordinates care, and addresses barriers to access, including sociocultural and systemic factors while fostering collaboration with community partners.
· Provide direct counseling services to patients when appropriate, including individual therapy, brief interventions or crisis support, to ensure timely access to care and reduce wait times.
· Coordinate counseling and psychiatry appointments, including chart reviews and prescription management.
· Recruit, onboard, and coordinate behavioral health volunteers.
· Promote and manage wellness programs and support groups.
· Ensure appropriate referrals for patients with serious mental illness.
· Make informed treatment and referral recommendations.
· Work with community partners/universities to recruit and manage behavioral health interns.
· Collaborate with the Department of Health on substance abuse Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for clinic patients.
· Support grant management and reporting for behavioral health initiatives.
· Provide ongoing education for staff and volunteers on relevant behavioral health issues.
· Supervise behavioral health staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree in Mental Health discipline
· Active Virginia licensure as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC or RN with experience in mental health required
· Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken required
· 3-5 years of behavioral health experience ideally in a community health or safety-net clinic set
· 2-3 years of supervisory experience
· Strong project management and interpersonal communication skills a must
· Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
· Strong understanding of the challenges faced by clients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
