Overview
The Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health (EEH) invites applications for four Postdoctoral Associate positions to join our dynamic team of faculty and staff.
Position 1
Working with Dr. Matthew Bonner, EEH Associate Professor, the Postdoctoral Associate will contribute to research projects related to exposure to environmental pollution (e.g., ambient air pollution, benzene, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and adult chronic diseases, including cancer and non-cancer outcomes.
Position 2
Working with Dr. Gloria Aidoo-Frimpong, EEH Assistant Professor, the Postdoctoral Associate will work on research projects at the intersection of African immigrant health and global health, with a focus on HIV prevention, health disparities, and the socio-structural determinants of health.
Position 3
Working with Dr. Zhongzheng (Jason) Niu, EEH Assistant Professor, the Postdoctoral Associate will work on research projects pertaining to environmental risk factors (e.g., air pollution, heatwave, endocrine disrupting chemicals) on maternal and children’s biological aging and early life cardiometabolic health, as well as exploring potential mechanisms such as epigenome, mitochondrial function, and metabolomics.
Position 4 – Division of Health Services Policy and Practice
Working with Dr. Renee Cadzow, EEH Assistant Professor, Division of Health Services Policy and Practice (HSPP), the Postdoctoral Associate will work on research projects across multiple social determinants of health, all rooted in community based participatory research and many involving community health workers (CHWs).
Minimum qualifications for all positions include:
- A doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS, PharmD, etc.) in a public health discipline or a related field.
