Full-time | January 12 – August 21, 2026 | Stipend + Education Award | Montana-based

Join Community Health Corps Montana (CHCM) and spend 8 months making a meaningful impact across Montana by expanding health access, reducing stigma, and strengthening community partnerships.

What You’ll Do:

Serve ~40 hours/week at a local organization (clinic, nonprofit, or public agency)
Support education, outreach, data, and systems improvement in one or more focus areas:

  • Mental health
  • Substance use recovery
  • Chronic disease prevention
  • Social determinants of health (housing, food, access to care)

Gain hands-on experience in public health, community engagement, and nonprofit systems

What You’ll Receive:

$1,200 biweekly living allowance
Free health insurance
$5,176 Segal Education Award after successful service
Training & professional development in health systems, and leadership
Supportive program structure and cohort of peers

Who Should Apply:

Emerging professionals, career changers, and mission-driven leaders
Must be 18+, a U.S. citizen/lawful permanent resident, have a high school diploma/equivalent, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a federal background check

Community Health Corps Montana (CHCM) is an AmeriCorps program administered by the Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center (MORH/AHEC) at Montana State University. The program mobilizes individuals to serve in partnership with community-based organizations across Montana to address pressing health needs through systems support, outreach, and engagement.
