Role Overview:
We partner with hospitals, clinics, and community health programs to improve patient care and operational performance. We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to manage medical records coding, claims submission, and billing compliance in a remote/hybrid environment. This role ensures accurate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and supports public health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Code patient records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims.
Verify patient and insurance information; resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and organizational policies.
Collaborate with clinical and billing teams; generate reporting metrics.
Qualifications:
Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (CPC, CCA, or equivalent).
2–5 years of experience in medical billing/coding, ideally in healthcare or public health.
Proficiency with EHR systems, billing software, and coding standards.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
