Overview

The Health Personal Assistant provides personalized, one-on-one support to individuals who require assistance with daily health-related tasks, medical coordination, and lifestyle management. This role ensures the patient’s well-being, comfort, safety, and adherence to medical plans while maintaining a professional, compassionate, and confidential environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Health Support
Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status; report concerns promptly.
Support adherence to medication schedules and treatment plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
Assist with physical therapy exercises or mobility routines as instructed.
2. Medical & Appointment Coordination
Schedule, track, and accompany the patient to medical appointments.
Communicate with doctors, nurses, therapists, and pharmacies as needed.
Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, and follow-up instructions.
Coordinate prescriptions, refills, and medical supplies.
3. Lifestyle & Daily Task Management
Assist with meal planning and preparation based on dietary requirements.
Organize daily schedules, reminders, and wellness routines.
Provide light housekeeping, organization, and support with household tasks.
Manage transportation for medical visits, errands, or personal activities.
4. Safety & Emergency Preparedness
Ensure the living environment is safe, clean, and accessible.
Recognize signs of health emergencies and act according to protocols.
Maintain awareness of allergies, restrictions, and medical risks.
5. Emotional & Social Support
Offer companionship and encourage social engagement.
Support mental and emotional well-being through positive communication.
Maintain a respectful, patient-centered approach at all times.

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in caregiving, medical assistance, or personal support.
Knowledge of basic health monitoring (e.g., vitals, medication management).
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), or similar credential.
Experience working with elderly individuals, chronic conditions, or home-care settings.
Training in mobility support, dementia care, or special needs assistance.
