Overview

Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II), the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) provides information technology (IT) contract management, and reporting services for the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO). The ITS I has extensive contact with staff at all levels within ITSD and the CDPH business programs. In addition, they have contact with the Administration Division, Director’s Office, Office of Legal Services, other departments, vendors, and Control Agencies. The ITS I is responsible for all aspects of successful IT contract management, including contract risk and issue management, removing blockers to contract management success, and representing CDPH in various internal and external meetings. The ITS I exercises sound judgment; effectively manages IT contracts per SCM Volume 1 chapter 9 and ePMO policies and procedures. The ITS I supports IT Project managers, adhering to Statewide Information Management Manual (SIMM) 19, in ensuring associated contracts meet control agency-imposed deadlines for IT project approval, development, closing and reporting processes, which are a critical component of meeting the ePMO mission to deliver successful technology solutions that advance the missions of CDPH public health business programs.

The ITS I will perform duties within the Business Technology Management and Information Technology Project Management domains.
