The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is a 501(c)(3) membership organization located in Washington, DC that serves as the voice of accredited academic public health. ASPPH’s 42-person staff serves more than 150 academic schools and programs of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Position Purpose 
The Executive Administrative Assistant works closely with the President and CEO to manage the President’s Office and will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, office, and clerical functions to support the President and CEO of ASPPH.

Primary Responsibilities
Handle general administrative duties to support the CEO, managing complex scheduling, arranging travel, submitting expense reports and invoices, data entry, maintaining filing systems and databases, and ordering supplies
Must have strong organizational skills, thoughtful judgment, exceptional communication abilities, attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, adaptability to changing priorities, proficiency in time management, resourcefulness in problem-solving, and a proactive approach to tasks. Additionally, being tech-savvy, having a professional demeanor, and possessing a positive attitude are also highly valued traits in this role
Provide logistical support for events, scheduling and arranging meetings, conference calls, and webinars, coordinating catering and audio-visual requests, preparing materials, and taking minutes
Draft correspondence and other materials and respond to written and verbal inquiries, as directed
Conduct informational/content research needed to support the President’s information needs.
Assist with creating reports, spreadsheets, presentations
Prepare, proofread, and edit documents
Maintain electronic and physical filing systems up to date and organized and following the retention policy
Maintain highly confidential and sensitive information and materials with complete discretion
Work with the senior executive team/C-suite to oversee routine and advanced duties
Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: Minimum accumulated 5-10 years of executive administrative experience
Demonstrable experience in professional writing inclusive of correspondence (spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.)
Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience in associations, academic or non-profit organizations preferred
Exceptional customer service skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail

Additional Information
Work Locale: The position is located in Washington, DC. ASPPH functions as a hybrid work environment. Individual most be able to work in the office 2 days and more if needed.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer and President of ASPPH

Manages/Supervises: N/A

Authority to Work in the US: The individual must be legally eligible to work in the US.

Travel Requirements: The position may involve occasional travel to member institutions and participation in meetings related to the position’s professional responsibilities.

Compensation:  ASPPH determines salary compensation level based on industry salary surveys and the individual’s experience. ASPPH also takes into consideration the internal pay equity of our existing team members. The salary range for this position is $62,000 – $72,000. We typically do not hire at the maximum level to allow for salary growth. ASPPH offers a generous benefits package, detailed below.
