Overview

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by independently performing administrative functions and operational support. Acts as the backup Personnel Liaison performing functions such as initiating Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs), maintaining Program organizational charts and position history records, and responding to requests for information/clarification from Human Resources Division (HRD) staff. Acts as the office backup Attendance Coordinator performing functions such as collecting and submitting benefit forms to the HRD and reporting attendance to HRD regularly. Coordinates facility management plans and implements strategic next steps. Acts as the backup Training Coordinator working with staff to support the Office of Health Equity (OHE) workforce development needs.

The incumbent works under the direction of the Supervisor I Business Operations Unit A within Administration and Operations Section.

This is a 12 month Limited Term position with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.

 

In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees’ monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction.
