Job Description and Duties
This position supports the CDPHs mission and strategic plan by supporting efforts to advance health, wellness, and safe in-person instruction for California’s 7.5 million students and staff in the state’s 10,000 Transitional Kindergarten -12th grade schools. The Office of School Health (Office) develops and disseminates scientific guidance and policies; supports school-based health centers; and facilitates collaboration between state and local education and health officials.

 

The incumbent works under the direction of the Health Program Manager (HPM) II, Chief of the Office within the CHC to provide administrative and programmatic support and analyses. The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently performs complex technical analytical duties by providing technical expertise, guidance, assistance, and support in the area of activities related to web, internet, social media, ADA compliance, and document processing, and provides backup for duties related to personnel matters, drill coordination, and attendance activities. Teleworking may be available for this position, in accordance with CDPH’s Telework Policy and Procedures.

The attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200, and may be required to report to a CDPH office, when needed. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
