Job Description and Duties
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by promoting equitable social, economic, and environmental conditions to achieve optimal health, mental health, and well-being for all.

 

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) serves as an integral component of the Office’s leadership team to assist in the coordination of administrative and policy issues. The incumbent utilizes analytical techniques to identify and make recommendations to the Office leadership team and must possess strong verbal, written, and digital (web-based) communication skills. The AGPA independently participates and represents the Office in technical complex and sensitive special projects and activities assigned by the Assistant Deputy Director.

 

The incumbent works under the Assistant Deputy Director (ADD) within the Office of Health Equity (Office).

 

There is one vacancy being advertised across multiple counties. The incumbent will be headquartered in the county nearest the residence of the selected candidate. The counties are: * Sacramento or Contra Costa County *

 

The attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200, and may be required to report to a CDPH office, when needed. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
