Opportunity in Digital Health Research – Consultancy with CGDHI at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

The Center for Global Digital Health Innovation (CGDHI) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is seeking a consultant (individual or team) to join an exciting new research initiative under the Data for Health Project. This consultancy will focus on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) , documenting how countries have digitized these systems — with Thailand as a key study context.

 

Role highlights:

3-month consultancy (Sept–Dec 2025)
~8 weeks field-based data collection in Thailand (15+ interviews anticipated)
4 weeks analysis & report writing
Collaborate closely with CGDHI team and global partners

Who we’re looking for:

Based in Thailand
Fluent in Thai and English
Strong research background, with experience in interviews and case study development

About Center for Global Digital Health Innovation (CGDHI) at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

The Center for Global Digital Health Innovation (CGDHI) is a multidisciplinary Center within the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Center aims to develop responsive digital health innovations and provide rigorous, evidence-based support for scaling digital technologies and advancing health equity to improve health – focusing on resource-limited settings. CGDHI focuses in the following areas: 1.) Generate an evidence base on digitization of primary health care, digitally-based research methods, and digital health technologies; 2.) Facilitate government engagement and cross-country knowledge exchange on multisectoral digital transformation and deployment of digital health innovations; 3.) Apply cross-cutting, multidisciplinary expertise of the digital health ecosystem and numerous health areas (MNCH, immunizations, reproductive health, NCDs, infectious disease, mental health, nutrition, injury prevention, etc.) to global policy and practice guidance; 4.) Develop training and capacity-building programs on digital health.
