Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Planning and Promotion Specialist position within the Public Health Department – Planning and Strategy Division. This is a unique chance to see how your work can directly improve the health of your community.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be charged with identifying and evaluating community needs, preparing reports and presentations, and collaborating with partners and department teams to develop and implement programs, initiatives, and policies, systems, and environmental (PSE) changes to improve community health. You will also contribute to strategic planning.

You will be responsible for ensuring that data is accurately collected, analyzed, and used to achieve measurable outcomes. Additionally, your role may involve writing grants, and supporting public health quality performance standards, performance management, and quality improvement processes. You will also contribute to maintaining compliance with Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Standards and Measures.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Marketing, English or a related field required. Two (2) years of full-time related work experience (or part-time equivalent) required. Recent work experience in community health assessment and planning models, methods, tools, and techniques preferred. A valid driver’s licenses is required and a cell phone is recommended. Starting Wage: $32.12 – $35.69 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $42.83 per hour.
