Overview

In the Assistant Professor role, you will be expected to teach graduate level courses within the Master of Public Health (MPH) Graduate Program. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to graduate-level advising and mentoring students.

Teaching/Instruction – Teach courses primarily in the Global Health Promotion concentration of the MPH program and participate in developing innovative approaches to learning and teaching as appropriate. Contributing role in the design, development, and planning of courses and programs within the subject area as required. Provide timely feedback and assessment of coursework.
Research – A strong interdisciplinary and collaborative research record. Experiences working in global health. Candidates should have the potential to develop externally funded research.
Service – Participate in MPH program activities and service such as meetings, committee memberships, etc. Maintain appropriate scholarly or professional development activity and keep up to date with developments in the field as necessary, to carry out the duties of the position.
Global Health Opportunities – Candidate will have opportunities to teach and collaborate with the Arrupe Global Scholars and Partnerships program including supporting students on global health projects. Candidate will have the opportunities to collaborate with Arrupe’s Global Health partners on joint research and educational projects. Attend and participate in Arrupe didactic global health series. Possible travel to international sites. Apply to become an Arrupe International Site Director.
Creighton Public Health and Clinical Research Faculty – Engage Creighton Public Health and Clinical Research faculty, and others, with researchers from the international site to help foster and support research and educational collaboration.
