Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk / Cashier to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the integrity of accounting data. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Manage cash handling, electronic payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software.
  • Assist in processing payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Generate financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding payments and account balances.
  • Assist with tax preparation, audits, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk, Cashier, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a remote accounting or finance role.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Experience handling cash flow management and reconciliation.
