Job Summary:
The Health Communications Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies to promote public health initiatives, improve health literacy, and engage diverse audiences. This role involves crafting messages, managing media relations, and using digital platforms to convey accurate and compelling health information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute health communication campaigns targeting various populations.
• Create content for websites, social media, press releases, newsletters, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with public health officials, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure effective messaging.
• Conduct research on public health trends and audience needs to tailor communications.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication efforts through analytics and feedback.
• Ensure all health messages align with regulatory guidelines and evidence-based practices.
• Respond to media inquiries and manage public relations efforts related to health topics.
• Plan and conduct workshops, webinars, and community outreach programs.
• Utilize digital marketing strategies to enhance the reach of health campaigns.
