Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Remote Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide both administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers in a virtual setting, ensuring efficient patient care and smooth operations. You will act as a vital link between patients and providers, supporting communication, documentation, and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Conduct virtual patient intake, including medical histories, current symptoms, and other relevant information.
2. Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
3. Assist providers during telehealth appointments by preparing patient information and documenting visit details.
4. Communicate care instructions, lab results, and follow-up steps to patients under provider guidance.
5. Schedule patient appointments, manage reminders, and handle rescheduling requests.
6. Support administrative functions such as billing coordination, insurance verification, and referrals.
7. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications.
1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred.
2. Prior experience in a clinical, medical office, or telehealth environment.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
4. Proficiency in EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with professionalism and reliability.
7. Stable internet connection and secure, private workspace.
