Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Epidemiologist to join our dynamic public health team in a fully remote and flexible capacity. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in data analysis, surveillance, and public health research to support impactful programs that address real-world health challenges.

Whether you’re analyzing population trends, evaluating disease patterns, or informing health policy, your work will directly contribute to improving health outcomes across diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and analyze epidemiologic studies and public health surveillance systems
Interpret data related to communicable and non-communicable diseases, environmental health, and social determinants of health
Prepare data visualizations, reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on health assessments, grant reporting, and research initiatives
Monitor public health trends and contribute to data-driven strategies for prevention and intervention
Ensure all research and reporting activities are compliant with ethical standards and regulatory requirements
Respond to urgent public health needs (e.g., outbreaks, emergency response) as needed

Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in applied epidemiology, public health surveillance, or research
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, or Stata) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with HIPAA, IRB, and public health data governance standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with health departments, nonprofit organizations, or federal health agencies (e.g., CDC, HRSA, NIH)
Background in infectious disease, chronic disease epidemiology, or environmental health
Knowledge of GIS tools and spatial data analysis
Grant writing or program evaluation experience is a plus
