Overview

Responsibilities This Web Developer will work closely with internal customers to create and maintain functional dynamic web applications that satisfy the specs outlined, working closely with the user to tailor each page utilizing the outlined languages and software. The incumbent will be involved in the full life cycle of the application from design, coding, maintenance, troubleshooting as well as additional future site sections and functions. The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining custom websites. Specific duties will include: developing and supporting a variety of websites using Microsoft .NET tools and MSSQL; analyzing performance of websites and correcting deficiencies; troubleshooting and resolving third tier technical support issues; participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including: architecture specifications and design; website configuration; database design; programming; quality assurance; testing and implementation; and ongoing maintenance and support; developing and managing effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel; coordinating with co-workers and management to employ analysis and design techniques, including case analysis, object modeling and database/website schema design; developing and implementing new business processes to improve efficiency and enhance productivity; and researching and recommending new approaches for software development technology. Other appropriate related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and three years of experience in website design, development, and maintenance; OR an Associates degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in the following programming languages, architectural patterns, and softwares – C#, VB.NET ASP.NET, ASP.NET Razor, ADO.NET, HTML 5, JQuery, JavaScript, Vue.JS, Angular, AJAX, Client-server, MVC, .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE. Experience utilizing the following architectural patterns, and softwares – Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, ActiveReports. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
