Responsibilities
The Data Systems and Reporting Manager will be responsible for the management of complex, client-level data systems that support program evaluation and monitoring, tracking emerging and unmet needs in populations affected by HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Drug User Health and other populations prioritized by the AIDS Institute. This includes compliance with federal reporting requirements, including review, processing and submission of various reports. Responsibilities also include managing program and systems planning, development, implementation and evaluation; managing software development; managing data collection and reporting; representing New York State and the AIDS Institute; supervision of staff; and other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of experience in the management and administration of health-related data systems; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and seven years of such experience; OR nine years of such experience. At least three years of experience must have included program management and supervision of staff. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience in the management and administration of health-related data systems.
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of experience in the development of client-level, HIV-related data systems and the collection and evaluation of data in the review and analysis of HIV-related programs. At least two years of strong data management and analysis experience, particularly with large health-related data sets. At least two years of experience evaluating data quality and conducting data analysis. Experience producing written reports and contributing to peer review documents and publications.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
