Responsibilities

The Health Program Aide will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Bureau of Perinatal, Reproductive and Sexual Health’s HRI-funded programs and staff. The position will support staff by assisting with updating and tracking administrative tasks, coordinating meeting logistics and staffing schedules, and tracking progress towards grant deliverables as appropriate. The position responsibilities will also include but are not limited to compiling and filing applications and reports, assisting with travel and other approval packages, updating administrative tracking tools, drafting outreach correspondences, monitoring shared mailboxes, assisting with general organizational effort (such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Resource Libraries), and performing other appropriate related duties.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Or an Associate’s in a related field and one year of general office experience, secretarial or administrative experience; OR three years of such experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, public administration, or another relevant field, or post-baccalaureate certification or higher in a public health or public administration area (maternal and child health, health disparities, etc.). Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Power Point) in preparation of documents, graphs, slides, presentations. Demonstrated experience with MS Excel and/or Access (or similar programs) for spreadsheet and database management. Experience with maintaining calendars and appointments for multiple program staff. Experience with administrative support within a health-related setting. Demonstrated excellent communication skills and experience working within a team setting. Work experience with maternal, infant, and child services, and/or services provided for victims and survivors of sexual assault.

 

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 10% of the time, will be required.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
