Responsibilities
The Senior Program Coordinator will work within the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology (OSHE). The incumbent will contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of sexual health programming and contract management as well as other related activities which promote the accomplishment of grant deliverables and other Office and/or AIDS Institute needs. This position will reside within the Sexual Health Programming and Administration Unit. This unit within the OSHE provides leadership in sexual health programming and the prevention and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), develops and implements health promotion, and contributes to research and policy changes in support of STI prevention and treatment. The unit also oversees contracts with providers and vendors, purchasing and other administrative activities in support of OSHE’s priorities.
Responsibilities for the Senior Program Coordinator include but are not limited to contributing toward the development of program policies, standards and guidance documents; conducting and leading contract management activities; overseeing and monitoring of contract spending; reviewing and analyzing data to monitor progress toward meeting OSHE program goals and workplan objectives; communicating successes and challenges; informing funding and resource allocation for sexual health programming; overseeing and preparing quantitative data and program reports; providing technical assistance to contractors and community partners; preparing presentations and conducting training on sexual health topics; hosting and/or participating in virtual and on site (when possible) meetings/calls and coordinating and implementing quality improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. The experience must have been contributing toward the development, implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project, or other related activities. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public administration or related field; at least three years of experience managing grants and contracts; at least three years of experience providing technical assistance and support to staff and contractors; at least three years of experience supervising staff; at least two years of experience utilizing grant systems. Experience with MS Office 365, (including One Drive, MSTeams and SharePoint) and with using virtual meeting platforms (WebEx and Zoom).
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required.
This position may require occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
