The hourly rate for this position will range from $20-$25/hour.

Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work with a well-established team of public health professionals across the Division of Science. The Hourly Project Assistant II will contribute to emerging and infectious disease surveillance initiatives. The incumbent will assist with planning and implementing data collection related to emerging and priority health conditions, contributing to survey design and implementation, and assisting in the analyses of these data and related surveillance and epidemiological data. The incumbent will also assist in developing data products and visualizations for various dissemination strategies (including web platforms, reports, manuscripts, and presentations), and help with development of materials for presentation to internal and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics/Statistics or a related field and one year of experience in the collection and analysis of data; OR an Associate’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics/Statistics or a related field and two years of such experience; OR four years of such experience. A Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data management and analysis; experience in maintaining and updating databases; proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Conditions of Employment

Hourly, grant funded position expected to last through 06/30/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
