Overview

Hennepin County’s Medical Examiner’s Office is looking for an Assistant Medical Examiner to join a team of eight experienced forensic pathologists. This role involves hands-on experience working with human remains and biological specimens.

 

Need to have:

  • Graduate of a medical school recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Licensed as a physician to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota (M.D. or D.O.); or able to attain State of Minnesota licensure to practice upon employment; or possess a valid temporary permit pending approval of application for Minnesota physician licensure.
  • Training in Anatomic and Forensic Pathology, in ACGME-accredited training programs, upon employment.
  • Certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology at the time of hire.
  • Certified in Forensic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology within two years of hire.
  • Good standing in the medical profession.
