Overview

The Mental Health Center (MHC) in Hennepin County is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join their team. This role involves conducting both voluntary and court-ordered psychological evaluations for youth (birth to 17) and adults. Fluency in Spanish and/or Somali is highly desired.

MHC is a state-licensed outpatient clinic that is part of Hennepin County’s Public Health Clinical Services. They provide comprehensive outpatient mental health services to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. The center also serves children, adolescents, and families, many of whom are involved with other county programs. MHC is working towards Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) certification to enhance service excellence and provide personalized, coordinated, and equitable care.

Additionally, MHC is designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), making healthcare providers eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) scholarship and loan repayment programs. This is a great opportunity for those interested in serving underserved communities.
