Dean for the School of Public Health at IU Bloomington
The next dean for the School of Public Health-Bloomington will marshal a competitive strategy to grow the school’s brand as an innovative and entrepreneurial school focused on transformative pedagogy, impactful scholarship, and improving health in Indiana and beyond. The dean will engage internal and external stakeholders in the critical work of the school and find willing partners throughout the state of Indiana and beyond who will further the school’s mission, broaden its reach, bring significant new resources, and amplify its impact.
This leader will be an entrepreneurial and visionary leader and scholar who will inspire faculty, students, staff, alumni, donors, and friends to engage in the work of advancing the school’s upward trajectory. The dean will be a champion for teaching and research, have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, high energy, political astuteness, and a personal style that engenders trust and respect. This individual will also be visible in the IU community, have an appreciation and passion for the mission of public higher education, and be a compelling public representative of the school’s worldwide presence.
