Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Communications Director provides strategic leadership for all public-facing communications and branding for the School of Public Health. This role is responsible for shaping and maintaining a cohesive institutional identity, overseeing digital and media presence, and representing the School at the institutional and external levels. The Director partners with (1) Academic Affairs, Recruitment, and leadership to align marketing with enrollment, workforce, and strategic priorities, (2) the Office of Research to prioritize promoting the research achievements of faculty and students, and (3) Community Outreach and Engagement to develop meaningful community partnerships for both population and clinical research and education.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s
Required Field of Study: Marketing, Communications, Public Health or related field
Number of years required to perform the job: Five
Type of experience required to perform the job: professional level experience. Experience in marketing, communications, or higher education outreach
Substitution: Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of professional level experience
