We are currently seeking a Remote Medical Assistant to join Nektar Therapeutics growing remote team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and compassionate professional who thrives in a virtual care setting. You’ll play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers by managing clinical and administrative tasks—all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with virtual patient intake and documentation
Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently
Communicate with patients regarding care plans, prescriptions, and lab results
Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and clinical teams
Handle patient inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in a medical office or telehealth setting
Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
