Overview

The Department of Public Health in the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) seeks applicants with expertise in epidemiology and/or biostatistics for a new lecturer position. This position will have primary responsibilities for teaching in our Master of Public Health (MPH) programs (residential and online), as well as working in partnership with our excellent faculty, lecturers, and staff in our other degree programs (https://hhs.purdue.edu/research/departmental-research/department-of-public-health-research/). Course coverage areas may include: introductory biostatistics, applied regression, introductory epidemiology, randomized control trials, public health surveillance, and those needed by the academic unit.

The department provides exceptional undergraduate and graduate education and currently serves over 150 undergraduate students and 230 graduate students. Degree programs include the BS, MS, and PhD in Public Health, an online Master of Health Administration (MHA) (currently in CAHME Candidacy Status), and a CEPH-accredited residential and online MPH. Our MPH program currently has concentrations in: Community Health, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a doctorate in public health, epidemiology, statistics or biostatistics, or a closely related field.
