OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Razom Health focuses on supporting hospitals and healthcare institutions serving patients across Ukraine, including frontline areas. Emerging from a training program for neurosurgeons, Razom Health has expanded into a multifaceted initiative responding to the humanitarian crisis following the 2022 invasion. Our team provides critical medical aid, care and education to under-resourced healthcare facilities in Ukraine.

JOB SUMMARY

​​The Grants Officer will assist in the administration of the grant lifecycle, including identifying grant opportunities, supporting proposal writing, and assisting in compliance monitoring and reporting. This position plays a key role in maintaining support for existing initiatives and identifying new opportunities to sustain and enhance healthcare services in Ukraine.

REPORTS TO

Program Director, Razom Health

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Funding Research and Identification

● Support the identification and research of grant opportunities that align with Razom Health’s mission and goals.

● Assist in maintaining relationships with Razom Health donors and partners.

Proposal Development

● Assist in the Go/No-Go process and support the development, writing, and submission of health-related concept notes and grant proposals.

● Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate project budgets and gather necessary technical information to ensure a competitive proposal and alignment with donor requirements.

Grant and Award Management

● Support the monitoring of grant timelines and deliverables to ensure that all aspects are executed as planned.

● Assist in preparing financial and narrative reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor requirements.

Collaboration and Coordination

● Work closely with other Razom teams, including the MEAL, development, communications, finance, and administrative teams, to ensure cohesive grant processes and alignment with organizational objectives and vision.

● Provide support to project teams on grant-related matters as needed.

● The responsibilities associated with this position are subject to change in response to evolving needs in Ukraine.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree in Public Health, Global Health, Public Administration or other related field is a plus.

● Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in grant management or a related role within healthcare, humanitarian, non-profit, or international development sectors; previous experience working in Ukraine is strongly preferred.

Experience in identifying and supporting health-related funding opportunities is preferred; prior experience working with large institutional or humanitarian donors such as USAID, OCHA, etc. is a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

● Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Ukrainian is a plus.

● Strong understanding of the global health grant funding landscape.

● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and persuasive manner.

● Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, international environment.

● Analytical and data-driven mindset for assessing project outcomes and impact.

SALARY RANGE

$70,000-$85,000/yr

Final salary based on education, experience and qualifications as well as finalized scope of work.
