Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our team in Williamsport, PA. In this role, you will provide patient-centered care to individuals requiring rehabilitation and therapeutic services to improve their daily living and work-related functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational medicine and social work, demonstrating expertise in developing treatment plans that promote independence and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop individualized therapy plans.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies, assistive devices, and home exercises to support rehabilitation.
Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations and industry best practices.
Travel between patient sites as needed, requiring a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
✅ Experience:
Minimum 1+ years of experience in occupational medicine.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in social work.
✅ Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) license in Pennsylvania (PA).
Valid Regular Driver License (DL).
Any of the following valid certifications:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA PALS)
Preferred Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to develop creative treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technologies.
