POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- LOCATION: 410 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT
- HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours per week
- SCHEDULE: First Shift, typically Monday – Friday
- NOTE: There may be opportunities for flex schedule, alternate work schedule, or teleworking, in accordance with State policies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. CDC Health Disparities Grant Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of grant activities.
- Work with the DPH Contracts and Grants Management Section (CGMS) to manage the budget for the CDC Health Disparities Grant, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify potential funding opportunities and assist in the development of grant proposals to support health equity initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements, regulations, and reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and funding partners, to facilitate effective implementation of grants and contracts.
- Provide technical assistance to grantees and contractors as needed.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to health disparities to inform programmatic decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
3. Other Duties:
- Stay informed about current public health policies, regulations, and best practices related to health equity.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices, policies, and trends in health equity.
- Seek opportunities for training and skill enhancement that directly contribute to the success of your role.
