Job Description and Duties
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is currently hiring for a Section Chief (Health Program Manager II) within our Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ)!
The Health Program Manager II works under the administrative direction of the Standards Interpretation Branch Chief. This position is based in Sacramento, CA and may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule with some in-office requirements.
The Health Program Manager II will use their skillset to direct a multidisciplinary team in providing interpretation and guidance of laws, regulations, policies and other standards, to providers of long-term care and other facility types, internal CDPH and CHCQ staff, and members of the public, to improve the quality and safety of patient and resident care.
This individual will also collaborate with various health disciplines, other state and federal agencies, and district offices, as well as many internal and external partners in implementing health programs and in offering non-enforcement clinical consultation to facilities.
