Overview
The Center for Family Health (CFH) has three divisions:
The Genetic Disease Screening Program
The Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Division
The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program
Our mission is to protect and promote the health of individuals, pregnant people, and their children. We know there are lifelong benefits of early investment in children to reduce risk and injury and increase resiliency to better buffer life’s challenges.
At the CFH, we:
Lead programs that support pregnant people and new parents.
Collect, analyze, and report California data on the health and well-being of families.
Screen pregnant people and new babies for life-threatening genetic conditions.
Assess our programs to understand if they are helping our families towards better health and engage in continuous quality improvement.
Develop communication and educational materials on topics related to health and pregnancy, infants, and adolescents.
Commit to ending inequities in maternal and infant health outcomes.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate’s relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Experience with research, data analysis, management, and visualization, especially as it pertains to advancing data-driven decision making and equity-centered public health practice.
Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and/or other analytic, business intelligence, or visualization software used for analytic, data management, or reporting initiatives.
Ability to develop and maintain web-based data visualizations.
Ability to design and implement impactful public health data strategies.
