About the Organization

The Pride Center of Maryland (PCOM) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of LGBTQ/SGL (same-gender-loving) Marylanders, with a focus on economically challenged communities of all backgrounds, and Black and Brown communities. PCOM offers health, behavioral health, and prevention services rooted in empowerment, affirmation, and cultural understanding.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Women’s Outreach Specialist who is passionate about women’s health, social justice, and community connection.
This role centers on engaging all women, women of color, and LGBTQ/SGL (same-gender-loving) women in programs that build health literacy, self-determination, and belonging.

You will facilitate workshops, lead outreach, and connect women to services in areas like sexual health, behavioral wellness, and reproductive care. You’ll also work closely with PCOM’s outreach and case management teams to ensure no one falls through the cracks.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally responsive outreach and education.
• Lead health workshops and small groups.
• Provide linkage to care and wraparound support.
• Partner with community agencies and advocates.
• Document engagement data for program evaluation.

Ideal Candidate

• Deep commitment to health equity and women’s empowerment.
• Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with diverse communities, especially women of color and LGBTQ/SGL women.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally affirming care.

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000–$65,000 annually, with competitive benefits.
• Ongoing training in PCOM’s Critical Thinking and Cultural Affirmation (CTCA) method.
