Overview
The Mental Health Clinic of the Tompkins County Department of Whole Health is seeking a Clinic Director to join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing treatment services to adults, children and families with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. This position requires proven experience in a leadership or management role within an outpatient mental health clinic or similar healthcare setting, solid understanding of evidence-based treatment practices including the treatment of co-occurring substance use disorders, experience implementing NY State OMH regulatory requirements, professional ethical standards, development of program policies and procedures and other compliance and quality related mandates, excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with clinical staff and clients along with a proven record of bringing others together in collaborative way within government and across community stakeholders, proficient in the use of electronic health records, analytical skills necessary to develop and advance initiatives that improve care and meet community needs, knowledgeable about billing, managing a program budget and ensuring program productivity and quality metrics are achieved.
As the Director, you will be responsible for daily oversite of clinic operations ensuring high quality care is provided in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will directly supervise five senior level clinicians who supervise licensed clinical therapists and nurses. You will partner with the Medical Director who has oversight of the psychiatric staff. You will attend and facilitate regular meetings, ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations, and be responsible for writing/updating clinic policies and procedures. Additionally, you will oversee and evaluate the performance of staff in the department, provide training for staff, and be responsible for meeting budgeted revenue goals. This is a daytime, Monday through Friday position with minimal on call responsibilities. The starting salary is $103,521 with a working rate (after 9 months of continuous employment) of $112,507. Additional salary increases are expected pending the finalization of contract updates.
This position reports to the Deputy Commissioner.
