Overview
Applications for a part-time program manager are currently being accepted to support our
program focused on breast health equity, Breast Health Advocate Voices for Equity (B-HAVE).
This position is ideal if your interests are centered on health equity and making a meaningful
impact in health outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and under-
resourced communities.
This part-time contractor position is primarily for public health graduate students or recent
graduates who are available for up to 25 hours per week through December 2024 (with the
option to continue pending availability of funding). A background or interest in community health,
health promotion, and health education is preferred. Please note that you must be located in the
Baltimore or Washington, DC area at the time of position acceptance to be considered for the
position.
The program manager will work with Touch4Life staff and volunteers to implement the B-HAVE
program. Specifically, the program manager will support the design and implementation of
training content, facilitate meaningful engagement of breast health advocates with personal
connection to breast cancer, and partner with BIPOC and under-resourced communities to
enhance understanding about breast health and aspects that disproportionately affect the
trajectory of health outcomes for BIPOC people living with breast cancer,

In this role, you will:
● Assess needs for health interventions focused on breast health, with a particular focus
on BIPOC and under-resourced communities
● Plan, design, implement, evaluate, and support communication of programs focused on
breast health promotion
● Support advocacy around improvements in policies that lead to supportive
environments, effective clinical care, and community supports that improve breast
cancer-related outcomes for BIPOC people

● Leverage community strengths and wisdom to create healthy environments that promote
effective and culturally-centered breast health
