Overview
The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis Health, located in Sacramento, California, seeks to hire a full-time Vascular/Endovascular Surgeon in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, in the Health Science Clinical Professor, In-Residence, or Clinical X series. The Division of Vascular Surgery is a comprehensive academic program that includes an integrated vascular surgery residency, basic and clinical research, and active clinical service.
The selected candidate will contribute to the educational, research, and clinical missions of the vascular surgery program at UC Davis Health. Expected clinical responsibilities include general vascular care, both inpatient and outpatient. Candidates are expected to have clinical experience in complex endovascular and open aortic, peripheral, cerebrovascular, spine exposure and dialysis procedures at a minimum. The candidate will be required to participate in complex aortic call. The candidate should have an interest in resident education with a plan to act as a leader in vascular education and have an interest in serving as residency program director or associate director. This position will have ready access to hybrid O.R.s, catheterization Labs, and Simulation Centers. The selected candidate will work collaboratively and integrate with our partners.
This full-time faculty position will be at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series, dependent upon experience and qualification. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence, and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. Faculty in the In-Residence series are expected to engage in teaching, independent research, and creative work, demonstrate professional competence and activity, and provide University and public service.
