Assistant Professor of Applied Public Health Sciences, In-Residence Faculty Position

In the interest of enhancing our region’s public health workforce, our CEPH-accredited MPH program intends to offer a graduate certificate in Public Health Leadership. We seek candidates for a full-time, in-residence position as Assistant Professor who can design and support a 2-semester course on public health leadership. The preferred applicant will be familiar with team-based/problem-based learning in order to address topics of program evaluation, risk communication, community development, strategic planning, implementation science and project management, advocacy, not-for-profit budgeting and fiscal management, informatics, asset mapping, systems thinking, human resource management, public health ethics/moral leadership, and community-based participatory research methods. The selected applicant also will have responsibilities for supervising a 3-credit practice/service project through which students demonstrate mastery of competencies relevant to the role of Chief Health Strategist for their communities.

This a 12-month, non-tenure track position is funded through November 2027 with continuation after that date dependent on the availability of funds. We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in health services research, program administration or behavioral/social sciences.
