Overview
The Center for Health Services Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an experienced research project manager to support a program that provides academic consultation and collaboration services to institution-wide learning health systems initiatives and an NIH-funded project on implementation of precision medicine approaches. A learning health system is one in which internal data and experience are systematically integrated with external evidence, and that knowledge is put into practice; as a result, patients get higher quality, safer, more efficient care. Work in the Sr Pop/Public Health Mgr role will involve the intake, tracking, and reporting of health system projects that request consultation with academic resources and general project management for a research grant. The position requires advanced organization and communication skills and intermediate research experience to perform activities including project management, preparation of internal reports, and contribution to scholarship under minimal supervision.
Candidates with a minimum of master’s level training in Public Health, Behavioral Sciences, Epidemiology, or a related field are strongly preferred. Candidates with experience in health services research, implementation science, and/or quality improvement methods are desirable. This position will offer remote-work-from-home opportunities, but routine presence in our Nashville, TN office will be required. A current resume and cover letter must be included/uploaded in your online application to be eligible for consideration.
